MEET OUR STAFF

Phill and Patti

Phill and Patti Urena have been in ministry for over 25 years with a wide range of ministry experience. Together they have overseen children and youth ministries and various evangelistic ministries in the two Vineyard churches in which they have served. Phill also led congregational worship for 5 years.
Phill and Patti passionately believe all have been born with a God given purpose rooted in the Father’s love. As such, the purpose of leadership is to provide a safe place for people to discover and develop their natural and spiritual skills, in the midst of a loving supportive community. “Everyone is created with a God purpose or destiny. We simply need to unwrap it, or better allow for Him to unwrap it as we grow in the knowledge of the God who is love. The role of every child of God is to honor others, be a safe place for others to discover both their strengths and their weaknesses, to encourage and to draw out the true identity we each have as His children. When the church does this well, with honor, humility and love, we will be so attractive to those around us they will come and ask to have what we have; Jesus. Why? Because we will more accurately reflect the God who is Love; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The church is not called to simply be the redeemed reaching out to others so they might be saved, not that we aren’t to be doing that, but we are called to be the testimony of a loving God, a God of Hope in a world without hope, to be the presence of Love in an unloving world, to be the reflection of the Triune God that invaded humanity, stepped into creation, not just to save a few souls; but to redeem all of creation, because He passionately loves His creation. This is a God truly worth loving, living for and even dying for, because this God is all in, He will not abandon His children, His creation. He is a Father that will not rest until all is well in His creation and His purpose for His children have been fully realized. There is no one and nothing like our God.” - Phill

Stephen

Stephen, born in 1986, has been part of our team from the beginning. He is also a part of our worship team and a talented graphic artist as well as a math tutor. Steve leads our Media Team, along with Jason, Anthony and Christie. Steve, like Terence, has a heart for his generation to find their place as leaders and to be sold out disciples of Jesus in real and practical ways. Steve wants to see authentic Christianity lived out by his peers in practical ways, making a difference in the lives of those in our community. His heart is broken for the oppressed and is partnered with the organization LOVE146.

Jason

Jason, born in 1988, has been around ministry since he was very young. He is a college student majoring in psychology and youth ministry at Nyack College. Jason is the genius behind our videos and leads the production of our media. He is passionate for the broken and homeless. His heart is to develop a team of young people that will take the heart of Jesus into the streets. A born leader his passion is contagious.

One last thing about Steve, Jay, Terence and the rest of the emanate team is that they like to have fun. They are real, genuine, a little crazy, but a whole lot of fun!

Ray and Claudia

Ray and Claudia have been with us from the beginning. They have two children, Kimberly and Hannah. Ray is a real student of God’s word and a lover of God’s children, Ray is gifted prophetically but has a pastoral heart; as such he is perfect to oversee our Sunday Service prayer team. Claudia has a servants heart and serves in any way she can including Sunday school and co-leading one of our Lifegroups with Ray. We are blessed to have them be part of our team.

Geoff

Geoff has been with us for 2 years now and has a contagious passion for Jesus. Geoff had a life changing encounter with the Lord and has gone hard after him ever since. He relates well with real people and is therefore a perfect choice to oversee our welcome team.
